Around the State - Southern

The Southern Region covers approximately 9,000 square kilometres. It embraces the Hacking, Shoalhaven, and Kangaroo Catchments, the Illawarra, and catchments south of the Shoalhaven above North Durras.

It includes eight Local government areas, and some areas of federal jurisdiction around Jervis Bay. Major towns include Batemans Bay, Nowra, Ulladulla, and Wollongong.
