The South East Region encompasses the escarpment of the Great Dividing Range, the rich coastal belt and major river systems and the legendary plains and high country of the Monaro.

Because the region is so diverse, the catchment blueprint has been divided into three sub-regions of Eurobodalla, Bega/Eden and Snowy/Monaro.
