Around the State - Hunter

The 22,000 square kilometres of the Hunter catchment is home to 350,000 people and has a unique diversity of soil types, geology and climate which influences its vegetation and landscapes. Major catchments include the Williams, Paterson, Goulburn, and Hunter Rivers.

The Hunter Catchment has a number of major towns including Cessnock, Gloucester. Maitland, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Scone and Merriwa.
